Flexible filament & printing on fabric

Modified my first printer with a special extruder for flexible filament, then started printing straight onto shirts.

Getting my first 3D printer changed what was possible — suddenly a part I wanted could exist the next morning. It also kicked off my CAD habit, with Fusion 360 becoming the tool I have used most ever since.

Not long after, I modified it with a special extruder so it could handle flexible filament properly. Flexibles are awkward: the filament wants to buckle instead of push, so the whole path has to constrain it. Once that worked I started experimenting — flexible functional parts, and printing directly onto shirts.
